Port Macquarie lies a short 15 minute drive north  along Ocean Drive, and has many award winning attractions for people of all ages

Across the highway from Port Macquarie, you'll find Wauchope. Spend some time in the old colonial days at Timbertown Heritage Theme Park. where  one can absorb and experience the history of yesteryear where the atmosphere of living in a town in the heart of timber country over 100 years ago continues today.

The district has significant historical sites to visit including a convict built church (the only one of its type remaining in Australia), courthouse, and ruins.

The Port Macquarie, Mid North Coast region of NSW Australia is a wine tasters treat with a variety of locally made wines. Enjoy regular Jazz concerts at the Bago Vineyards, on the second Sunday of each month, or the relaxed atmosphere of the excellent restaurant at the Cassegrain Vineyards on the highway.
